Let The Journey Begin

The Down East Sunrise Trail takes riders off-road on a journey through a natural landscape of forests, vast marshes, mountain views, and through habitat for Maine's iconic moose, beaver, eagles, osprey, waterfowl, wild turkeys, and white-tailed deer. We offer an exciting ride in a fully enclosed Side-by-Side ATV which seats 4 people (driver plus 3 passengers). Your adventure starts from Franklin in Hancock County, on The Down East Sunrise Trail, to Cherryfield. We will continue on through the Blueberry Barrens into Deblois, then to Eastbrook and returning to Franklin. Your journey is approximately 70 plus miles and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

The trail crosses the Narraguagus River at Cable Pool in Cherryfield via an early 20th-century steel trestle bridge. Cable Pool, now a town park, is a historically significant North Atlantic Salmon pool.
